At Folx Table, we encourage curiosity and growth - at and beyond our events. Folx Table is where people go to experience guaranteed connections with strangers.

For us, “talk to strangers” represents the spirit of Folx Table - wherever you are in the world. That's how big we think this message is, and that's why it drives everything we do.

Our gatherings have a bias for genuine encounters, knowing fortune favors the bold. We’re changing the way by which people connect and engage – both with themselves and others.

Our Story

WHERE
OUR FOLX STARTED

Folx Table got its humble start by word of mouth. Through facilitated meals and social experiences, high school sweethearts, baristas, girls who’d just met in bathroom bars, neighbors, strangers, and lovers alike came together in Emma McCallie’s Nashville attic and backyard. 

Believing she could guarantee connection through intimate gatherings with strangers, Emma amassed 400+ names of individuals with similar wishes for connection — 250 of which were independently hosted, fed, and entertained – all sans dishwasher.  Largely what was true then is still now: the way we gather matters. And thankfully, all you have to do is show up. 

Following the world’s extended social isolation,

Folx Table was born out of a deep desire for honest interactions, real conversation, and meaningful connection.
